Seize the means Of speaking!
The goal is to give people who don’t normally have the opportunity, or the confidence to speak, a slot to talk about something they’re interested in.
To help prepare, we’ll have a couple general (optional) talks from experienced speakers to give some advice and structure to speakers, and we’re happy to work with you as much as you need to feel confident for your slot.
Talk Format
Each talk will have the same time format:
10 minutes for speaking
5 minutes for Q&A
5 minutes break between talks
Watching It
Talks will all be streamed on Twitch.
Speakers will get a link to a google meet room and the MC will stream you doing your talk to the channel.
We’ll be providing live closed captions from Google Meet.
Talk Topics
The topic can be anything tech or tech-adjacent. Got a neat side project? An awesome spreadsheet? Wanna talk about your first job? Your best job? We want to hear about it all.
Here are some vague suggestions: HCI, Internet Culture, Hobbies, Digital Humanities, Activisim, Community Building, Project Learnings, Digital Art.
